Terms of Service

Recipio is a recipe organiser that lets you save, manage, and cook recipes from anywhere on the web. We provide a mobile app (iOS and Android), a web app at recipio.cc, and a Chrome extension.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

You must be 13 years or older to use Recipio. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@recipio.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You retain ownership of all recipes, notes, and other content you create or upload to Recipio ("Your Content"). By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and sync Your Content solely to provide the service to you.

You may not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

When you mark a recipe as public, you grant Recipio permission to display it to other users in the Discover feed. You can make a recipe private at any time from the recipe settings.

Recipio lets you save recipes from third-party websites and social media platforms. The original recipe content remains the intellectual property of its author or publisher. Saving a recipe to Recipio is for your personal use only — you may not republish or redistribute recipes without the permission of the original creator.

We are not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or safety of recipes saved from third-party sources.

Recipio offers a free tier and a Pro subscription. The features included in each plan are described on the Pricing page.

Pro subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Billing, refunds, and cancellations are governed by the respective platform's terms. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings — access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change Pro pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will not be affected until their next renewal.

The Recipio Chrome extension is provided as a convenience tool to save recipes from web pages you visit. It accesses page content solely to detect and extract recipe data — it does not access passwords, financial information, or unrelated personal data.

Use of the extension is subject to Google's Chrome Web Store Developer Programme Policies in addition to these terms.

Recipio uses AI to extract, modify, and generate recipe content. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Always use your own judgement when following AI-generated recipes, particularly regarding food safety, allergens, and dietary requirements.

We are not liable for any harm resulting from following AI-generated recipe suggestions.

You agree not to:

• Use Recipio to store or distribute unlawful content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our API or backend
• Use automated tools to bulk-save recipes for redistribution
• Impersonate other users or Recipio staff
• Circumvent any access controls or subscription restrictions

Violation of these terms may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Recipio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all saved recipes will be preserved indefinitely.

We strongly recommend not relying on Recipio as your sole backup of important recipes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recipio and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of Recipio after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
