A simple recipe for baking your first loaf of bread at home.

  • ·tsp Salt
  • ·g Unsalted butter
  • ·g Plain flour
  • ·g Unsalted butter

    Mix 7g of instant yeast with 90ml of warm water and let it sit.

    In a large bowl, combine 340ml of warm water, 25g of caster sugar, and ½ tsp of salt.

    Add the yeast mixture to the bowl.

    Incorporate 20g of cubed unsalted butter at room temperature.

    Gradually add 600g of plain flour and mix until a dough forms.

    Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.

    Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

    Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a baking pan.

    Brush the top with 25g of melted unsalted butter.

    Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
