  • ·cups water
  • ·cups ragi powder
  • ·cups water
  • ·salt
  • ·ghee

    Pressure cook 1 cup rice with 3 cups water for 3–5 whistles until very soft and mushy. (Soaking the rice for 30 minutes helps.)

    In a bowl, prepare the ragi mix: 2 cups ragi powder + 4 cups water + salt. Stir well to make a smooth, lump-free liquid.

    Once the rice is cooked, mash it completely inside the cooker until it becomes paste-like.

    Place the cooker back on low flame. Slowly pour the ragi mixture into the mashed rice while stirring continuously.

    Keep stirring on low heat until the mixture thickens and comes together like a soft dough.

    Apply a little ghee to your hands and shape the warm ragi sangati into smooth round balls.
