A quick and nutritious dal dish made with masoor and toor dal, flavored with spices and tempered for extra taste.

- ยทcup masoor dal
- ยทcup toor dal
- ยทcups baby spinach
- ยทsmall onion
- ยทgreen chili
- ยทtsp turmeric
- ยทsalt
- ยทwater
- ยทhing
- ยทgarlic
- ยทtamarind
- ยทjaggery
- ยทtsp ghee or oil
- ยทtsp mustard seeds
- ยทtsp cumin seeds
- ยทgarlic cloves
- ยทdry red chili
- ยทcurry leaves
- ยทred chili powder

In Pressure cooker add ghee, garlic, chili, onions, spinach, turmeric, salt. Let it cook for 2 mins then add dal, tamarind, hing, jaggery and enough water.

Cook for 3 whistles in high and 2 in medium to low.

Mash the cooked dal.

In another pan, heat ghee or oil and add mustard, cumin, red chili, curry leaves, red chili powder before turning off the heat.

Pour the tempering over the dal.

Serve hot with rice, papad, and your favorite side.
