  • ·pinch turmeric
  • ·teaspoon salt
  • ·grams ivy gourd
  • ·tablespoons oil
  • ·teaspoon split chickpeas
  • ·teaspoon mustard seeds
  • ·teaspoon jeera
  • ·pieces dried red chilies
  • ·strip curry leaves
  • ·medium size onion
  • ·teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ·secret masala

    Prepare the secret masala by grinding together dried red chillies, roasted gram, dhania, kasurimethi, dry coconut, garlic pods, jeera, turmeric, and salt.

    Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, jeera, dried red chilies, and curry leaves.

    Once they start to splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.

    Add the ivy gourd and sauté for a few minutes.

    Add the prepared secret masala and mix well.

    Cook until the ivy gourd is tender and well coated with the masala.
