A delicious and flavorful South Indian soup made with tomatoes and spices, perfect to drink or serve with rice.

- ยทtbsp Oil
- ยทtsp Mustard seeds
- ยทtsp Fenugreek seeds
- ยทDry red chillies
- ยทlarge Tomatoes
- ยทsprigs Curry leaves
- ยทtsp Turmeric powder
- ยทtsp Red chilli powder
- ยทSalt
- ยทlemon-sized ball Tamarind
- ยทtsp Cumin seeds
- ยทtsp Ajwain (carom seeds)
- ยทlarge Garlic cloves
- ยทglasses (approx. 600 ml) Water
- ยทpiece Jaggery
- ยทFresh coriander leaves
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and dry red chillies.

Once they splutter, add chopped tomatoes and curry leaves.

Stir in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt.

Add tamarind, cumin seeds, ajwain, and crushed garlic cloves.

Pour in water and bring the mixture to a boil.

Let it simmer for a few minutes until the flavors meld.

Add jaggery and adjust seasoning as needed.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
