One Pot Chicken Biryani
A simple, quick, and super comforting chicken biryani made in a pressure cooker.
Ingredients (21)
- ·gram Chicken pieces
- ·tbsp Lemon Juice
- ·tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
- ·tsp Salt
- ·tsp Turmeric
- ·tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder
- ·tsp Garam masala
- ·tsp Biryani masala
- ·cup Curd
- ·Oil
- ·sliced Onion
- ·Bay leaf
- ·inch Cinnamon
- ·Black Cardamom
- ·Green Cardamom
- ·Clove
- ·Peppercorn
- ·cup Biryani rice
- ·Coriander leaves
- ·Mint leaves
- ·cup Water

Take 500 gram Chicken pieces.

Add 1 tbsp lemon Juice, 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste, 1 tsp Salt, ½ tsp Turmeric, 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder, ½ tsp Garam masala, 1 tsp Biryani masala, ½ cup Curd.

Mix and marinate for 15 minutes.

Now, heat oil in a pressure cooker.

Add sliced Onion, fry until golden brown.

Keep fried Onion aside.

Add whole spices - 1 Bay leaf, 1 inch Cinnamon, 1 Black Cardamom, 2 green Cardamom, 5 Clove, 6 Peppercorn.

Add marinated Chicken, fry on high heat for 5 min.

Once Chicken is 80% cooked, top with handful of fried Onion, chopped Coriander and Mint leaves.

Top with 1 cup washed Biryani rice, handful of fried Onion, chopped Coriander and Mint leaves.

Add 1 cup water.

Pressure cook until 2 whistles.
