Mac & Cheese Lasagna
A delicious layered dish combining mac and cheese with a savory meat sauce.

- ·lb ground beef
- ·yellow onion
- ·medium carrots
- ·garlic cloves
- ·oz crushed tomatoes
- ·cup beef broth
- ·tsp garlic powder
- ·tsp dried basil
- ·tsp oregano
- ·tsp Italian seasoning
- ·tsp paprika
- ·tsp red pepper flakes
- ·tsp sugar
- ·lb elbow pasta
- ·tbsp unsalted butter
- ·tbsp flour
- ·cup half & half
- ·cups heavy cream
- ·oz cream cheese
- ·tbsp sour cream
- ·lb smoked Gouda
- ·lb Vermont cheddar
- ·lb sharp white cheddar
- ·lb cream havarti
- ·oz mozzarella cheese
- ·tsp chicken bouillon
- ·tsp onion powder
- ·tsp smoked paprika
- ·tsp mustard powder
- ·to taste salt
- ·to taste pepper

Medium high heat pan add oil and sauté onion + carrots with salt until soft.

Add garlic, cook 30 sec.

Add beef, season, and brown.

Deglaze with broth.

Add tomatoes, seasonings, sugar.

Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 25–30 min until thick.

Boil pasta in salted bouillon water until just under al dente.

Melt butter, add half the seasonings.

Whisk in flour; cook 1–2 min.

Add half & half + cream; thicken.

Stir in cream cheese + sour cream.

Add remaining seasonings.

Melt in half the cheeses, adding in batches.

Fold in pasta.
