Melt in Your Mouth Orange Cake
This is the Best and the Only Orange Loaf Cake Recipe you will ever need. Perfectly moist, tender crumb, and so easy to make!

- ·cup sugar
- ·tbsp orange zest
- ·cup melted butter
- ·cup oil
- ·medium eggs
- ·tbsp Fresh orange juice
- ·tsp vanilla extract
- ·tbsp flour
- ·tbsp baking powder
- ·tsp salt
- ·tbsp + 1 tsp Plain Yogurt
- ·tbsp orange juice (for syrup)
- ·tbsp sugar (for syrup)
- ·g icing sugar
- ·tbsp cream
- ·tbsp orange juice (for icing)
- ·salt (for icing)

Preheat your oven to 170C.

In a bowl whisk together flour, salt, baking powder and set aside.

In a bowl add sugar and orange zest and rub it between your fingers until the sugar changes its color.

Now add eggs and vanilla and whisk until pale in color.

Now add melted butter, oil, yogurt, orange juice and mix.

Now add all the dry ingredients slowly and mix until just combined. Don't over mix or the cake will be dense.

Pour the batter into a lined 8” loaf pan and bake at 170C for about 45-60 mins or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Pour the orange sugar syrup on the cake as soon as you take it out of the oven.

Let it cool for 15-20 mins then take it out.

Pour the icing once the cake is completely cooled down.

For the orange sugar syrup, in a pot add the sugar and orange juice and mix on low heat until sugar is dissolved.

For the orange icing, whisk icing sugar, cream, orange juice, and a pinch of salt together until a smooth thick glaze is formed. Adjust according to taste.
